Application for final reclamation seed mixture at Section G, <br /> Chapter I . ) <br /> Seed Type Percent <br /> Manchar Smooth Brome 30 <br /> Western Wheat Grass 8 <br /> Intermediate Wheat Grass 8 <br /> Crested Wheat Grass 16 <br /> Timothy 3 <br /> Canadian Blue Grass 2 <br /> Troy Blue Grass 3 <br /> Grain Rye 20 <br /> Yellow Clover 2 <br /> Milk Vetch 4 <br /> Creeping Alfalfa 4 <br /> The seed mixture will be applied at a rate of <br /> 30 pounds per acre with 1500-2000 pounds per acre of mulch con- <br /> taining 25 pounds of 60-40-20 fertilizer . The mixtures will be <br /> used to reclaim tunnel-related disturbance areas including sedi- <br /> mentation ponds, perimeter ditches and spoil disposal areas . <br /> Following the construction period , Mid-Continent will intensify <br /> reclamation procedures by utilizing more native grasses, shrubs <br /> and tree seedlings . <br /> Maintenance procedures to insure stability of <br /> the rock spoil disposal area include the following : <br /> -conducting weekly inspection (4 . 09 .1 (10) ) of the fill to <br /> check if rills, gullies or tension cracks have developed; <br /> -supervising and monitoring fill construction; <br /> -constructing the earth fill slopes in accordance with 30 <br /> CFR 816 . 71 and 816 .72; <br /> -conducting weekly inspections of all drainage diversions, <br /> impoundments and culverts associated with the fill; <br /> -revegetating using standard engineering and reclamation <br /> procedures . <br /> 42 <br />
