(7) Mitigation of environmental impacts - main <br /> portal area. <br /> During the life of mining operations in Coal <br /> Basin, the company will pursue an active program in the rock <br /> tunnel portal disturbed area to mitigate to the extent possible <br /> environmental impacts. Reclamation of those disturbed areas <br /> where activities are no longer required once the tunnel is in <br /> operation will be accomplished during operations as indicated in <br /> Table II-B-1. Following the cessation of the mining operations <br /> the rock tunnel portal area will be reclaimed as outlined in <br /> Chapter V, Reclamation Plan. As part of the sediment control <br /> plan in the rock tunnel portal area, the Company will enhance <br /> revegetation by hydromulching disturbed steep and inaccessible <br /> slopes created by the tunnel construction. <br /> The following seed mixture was picked speci- <br /> fically for erosion control and adaptability to Coal Basin's <br /> altitude, slope and aspect. (See March 1980 Permanent Permit) <br /> 41 <br />
