As the several mines are connected with the <br /> rock tunnel, the status of the road to the particular mine will <br /> change from a main haul-road category to a service category. <br /> Change in road usage from main line haul road to service road <br /> will reduce the environmental impact of the road and will in some <br /> instances allow partial reclamation of the road. <br /> The rock tunnel project is scheduled to be <br /> completed in three phases: <br /> Phase I <br /> 1. Clear vegetation from yard, refuse and pond areas; <br /> 2. Remove and stockpile topsoil; <br /> 3. Construct sediment ponds and perimeter ditches; <br /> 4 . Move power line, methane-drainage line and water <br /> line at the portal site; <br /> 5. Excavate yard area and place culverts in drainages; <br /> 6. Construct electrical substation, compressor <br /> facility, lamp house, garage, mine <br /> de-watering system, and relocate existing coal <br /> haul road and other ancillary facilities; <br /> 7.
