Phase II <br /> 1. Collar portals and begin excavation; <br /> 2 . Install rock conveyor and rock bin; <br /> 3. Complete fan installation for ventilating rock <br /> tunnel, main-line belt conveyor, temporary lamp <br /> house, temporary facilities in support of the <br /> rock tunnel project; <br /> 4 . Construct overland belt conveyor for coal <br /> transportation; <br /> 5. Construct raw-coal storage along route of <br /> overland conveyor to preparation plant. <br /> Phase III <br /> 1. Initiate use of the rock tunnel in support of <br /> the underground mining operations; <br /> 2 . Complete tunnel excavation to west portal site, <br /> 3 . Collar west portals and construct west portal yard <br /> area; <br /> 4 . Continue revegetation; <br /> 5. Enlarge and/or construct bathhouse, lamp house, <br /> and additional coal preparation facility. <br /> (3) Environmental considerations <br /> During the five-year term of the initial <br /> permit, construction of the rock tunnel will disturb approx- <br /> imately 23 acres of ground.
