Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment will be mcdde as per Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental, which is <br /> attached. Payment will be made at the unit prices established in Item 9 of the Bid Schedule. The hours <br /> outlined in Item 9 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. <br /> Task 10 Revegetation <br /> All areas disturbed during reclamation work and any other areas specified in these Special Conditions <br /> will be revegetated according to the Revegetation Specifications in the General Bid Specifications <br /> Section 20.0, except as modified by these Special Conditions. All areas will be seeded with the "Mine <br /> Site Seed Mixture", (Table 1). <br /> Due to site conditions no revegetation efforts may be initiated prior to September 2 1997 <br /> In addition to the revegetation specifications outlined in Section 20.0 attached, the following <br /> requirements will be adhered to: <br /> Seed <br /> Seed will be provided by the OWNER CONTRACTOR must give the PROJECT MANAGER at least ten <br /> (10) working days notice of the acreage to be seeded, so that the proper amount of seed is delivered. <br /> Fertilizers <br /> Commercial fertilizer is required for this project. Fertilizer shall be provided by CONTRACTOR, and <br /> shall conform to Section 20.2 (commercial fertilizer) of the Revegetation Specifications, attached. <br /> Seedbed Preparation <br /> Seedbed preparation is required, and shall be accomplished as described in Section 20.3 of the <br /> Revegetation Specifications, attached, <br /> Mulches <br /> Mulching is required for this project. Mulch shall be provided by CONTRACTOR, and shall conform to <br /> Section 20.2 of the Revegetation Specifications, attached. All mulch shall be certified as noxious weed <br /> free or noxious weed seed free by any authorized State or County Officer. Documentation of <br /> certification shall be provided to the PROJECT MANAGER prior to application of mulch. <br /> The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer (commercial), mulch, and equipment for chiseling, fertilizer <br /> application, seeding, mulching and crimping. Revegetation efforts will occur on approximately twenty <br /> one (21) acres, which includes the Conveyor Corridor, Road A, Stockpiles B and M, Glory Hole Pad and <br /> the Warehouse Vicinity. <br /> FOR SLOPES STEEPER THAN 3H:1V(Estimated 4 ACRES): <br /> Broadcast application of seed and fertilizer and hand mulching and crimping or hydro <br /> seeding and hydro mulching will be required. If hydro seeding and hydro mulching is <br /> selected, the seed and fertilizer will be applied in a first application, and the mulch <br /> applied separately. Seed application rate will be double the drill seed application rate <br /> (Table 1, Mine Site Seed Mixture) for broadcast and hydro seeding applications. <br /> 17 <br />
