the Warehouse Vicinity, western work area.
TASK 4 EARTH WORK
1. Backfilled slopes shall be left in a roughened condition.
Roughening shall be accomplished by creating small irregular
depressions with a dozer blade or trackhoe.
2 . All coal and coal waste materials encountered within the
Project Area shall be graded to the base of any backwall
.scheduled for reduction, for the purpose of burying these
materials . The coal materials shall be removed to ground
level, and these areas shall be ripped and reseeded after
completion of removal operations .
3 . Conveyor Corridor The eastern most portion of the Conveyor
Corridor traverses down a steep hill . This approximately 480
feet long segment of the corridor shall be graded so that the
cross sectional slope upon completion of grading will be 0% .
PROJECT MANAGER will mark this segment of the corridor in the field
before grading work commences .
4 . GLORY HOLE PAD The material cut from the east and west
benches shall be graded to the center of the pad in order to
form a roughly east-west trending drainage divide on the
centerline of the pad, and so that positive drainage to the
north and south is achieved. The slopes of the divide shall
be no steeper than 3H: 1V. Regarding the north and south
facing slopes of the Glory Hole Pad, the following shall be
accomplished: Along the south facing slope, material from the
pad shall be pushed downslope to fill the drainage Swale which
exists just below the edge of the pad. The swale shall be
completely filled, and the slopes above and below the swale
shall be continuous, but not exceed 3H: 1V, upon completion of
the earth work. No earth work will be accomplished along the
north facing slope of the pad.
5 . STOCKPILES B and-M On the Stockpile M bench there exists a
number of piles of end dumped earthen materials. All of these
materials, along with the coal fines accumulated on the bench,
will be graded to the base of the Stockpile M backwall prior
to initiating slope reduction efforts from the north.
6 . WAREHOUSE VICINITY The edges of roads, berms, embankments and
similar features not removed during reclamation operations
shall be graded to achieve the topographic goal of the project
by rounding these features, and blending them with surrounding
land forms . The access road between the Warehouse Vicinity
and Stockpile M shall be graded to the outside at a 50-o slope
as viewed in cross section.
7. WAREHOUSE VICINITY The twenty feet (201 ) wide Road A remnant
