Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment will be made as this Task is completed and approved by the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER. Payment will be made at the unit prices established in Item 6 of the Bid <br /> Schedule. Payment for this Task at the unit prices established in Item 6 of the Bid Schedule <br /> shall be considered full compensation for the use of hand laborers and equipment supplied by <br /> the CONTRACTOR to accomplish the tasks assigned by the PROJECT MANAGER. The hours <br /> outlined in Item 6 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. <br /> PROJECT OBSERVATION <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities <br /> and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The <br /> PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) <br /> on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior <br /> approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule <br /> inspections with the Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be <br /> observed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br /> 1. Upon initiation of Task 2, Native Seed Collection; <br /> 2. Upon initiation of slope scarification at each mine bench; <br /> 3. Upon completion of scarification of each mine bench outslope; <br /> 4. Immediately prior to initiating cut and fill slope scarification; <br /> 5. Immediately prior to initiating fertilizer, seed and mulch application at each <br /> outslope; <br /> 6. Upon completion of fertilizer, seed and mulch application at each outslope; <br /> 7. Upon initiating road and mine bench repair work; <br /> 8. Upon completion of tree and shrub planting operations. <br /> Task 7 ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS <br /> There are included on the Bid Schedule, several additional bid items. These bid items are not <br /> guaranteed, and will be used only in the event that site conditions warrant, and only after <br /> approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> In order that the Division may evaluate all of its options in an effort to maximize revegetation <br /> potential, please provide prices for the following four additive alternates: <br /> 15 <br />
