(A) Biosol Mix 7-2-3 <br /> Please provide a price to supply and install a plant nutrient such as Biosol Mix 7-2-3, or <br /> approved equivalent, at a rate of 1,800 pounds per acre. This material would be delivered and <br /> applied during fertilizer application on all of the target slopes. Biosol Mix 7-2-3, or approved <br /> equivalent, is applied to the soil surface and is not incorporated into the soil r terials. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment for this Task will be as the task is completed. Treated areas will be <br /> measured to the nearest 0.1 acre and paid at the unit price bid on the Bid Schedule Item 7A. <br /> The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all other items necessary <br /> for delivery and installation of Biosol Mix 7-2-3, or approved equivalent, as described in these <br /> specifications. Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Item 7A of <br /> the Bid Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. Task 7A, Provide and install Biosol Mix 7-2-3, or approved equivalent is NOT <br /> guaranteed. <br /> (B) Bio-Solids <br /> Please provide a price to supply and install a soil amendment plant nutrients such as coarse <br /> (non-screened) Class three composted bio-solids at a rate of eleven (11) tons per acre. This <br /> material must meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency criteria regarding heavy metal <br /> concentrations. Documentation of the material meeting this requirement must be supplied to <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER prior to transporting such material onto the Project Area. Failure to <br /> provide such documentation will result in rejection of the material. <br /> This material would be applied to the Road D cut and fill slopes immediately prior to initiating <br /> scarification of the slopes, and would be incorporated into the slope soil materials during the <br /> scarification process. The bio-solids material must, at a minimum, be incorporated into the <br /> upper two inches (2") of the slope soil material. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment for thi- Task will be as the task is completed. Treated areas will be <br /> measured to the nearest 0.1 acre id paid at the unit price bid on the Bid Schedule Item 7B. <br /> The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all other items necessary <br /> for delivery and installation of Bio-solids as described in these specifications. Task 713, Provide and <br /> install Bio-solids is NOT guaranteed. <br /> (c) Manure Installation <br /> Please provide a price to provide and install a soil amendment such as dried cow manure to the <br /> Road D cut and fill slopes at a rate of two (2) tons per acre. Wet manure is not acceptable, and <br /> will be rejected prior to application. This material would be applied to the Road D cut and fill <br /> slopes immediately prior to initiating scarification of the slopes, and would be incorporated into <br /> the slope soil materials during the scarification process.
