Mulches <br /> Mulching is required for this project. Mulch shall be provided by the CONTRACTOR. Mulch <br /> shall conform to Section 20.2 of the Revegetation Specifications, attached, except that a wet <br /> (green) hay mulch is to be utilized. Crimping of the mulch is not required. All mulch shall be <br /> certified as noxious weed free or noxious weed seed free by any authorized State or County <br /> Officer. Documentation of the certification must be provided to the PROJECT MANAGER prior <br /> to initiating revegetation efforts. <br /> The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer (commercial), mulch, and equipment for fertilizer <br /> application, seeding and mulching. <br /> Hand broadcast application of seed is anticipated. <br /> Road Cut and Fill Slopes, Road and Mine Bench Repair <br /> Seed <br /> The seed listed in Table 1, Mine Site Seed Mixture, will be provided by the OWNER. The <br /> CONTRACTOR must give the PROJECT MANAGER at least ten (10) working days notice of the <br /> acreage to be seeded, so that the proper amount of seed is delivered. Seed will be applied at <br /> the rate specified on Table 1, Mine Site seed Mixture. <br /> Fertilizers <br /> Fertilizer shall be provided by the CONTRACTOR, and shall conform to Section 20.2 <br /> (commercial fertilizer) of the Revegetation Specifications, attached. Fertilizer shall be applied as <br /> per the attached specifications. <br /> Seedbed Preparation <br /> Seedbed preparation was accomplished on these slopes during performance of Task 3, Slope <br /> Scarification. <br /> Mulches <br /> Mulching is required for this project. Mulch shall be provided by the CONTRACTOR. Mulch <br /> shall conform to Section 20.2 of the Revegetation Specifications, attached, except that a wet <br /> (green) hay mulch is to be utilized. Crimping of the mulch is not required on the road cut and fill <br /> slopes. Crimping is required at the reclamation repair areas. All mulch shall be certified as <br /> noxious weed free or noxious weed seed free by any authorized State or County Officer. <br /> Documentation of the certification must be provided to the PROJECT MANAGER prior to <br /> initiating revegetation efforts <br /> The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer (commercial), mulch, and equipment for, fertilizer <br /> application, seeding and mulching. <br /> Hand broadcast application of seed is anticipated. If hydro seeding is selected to be employed <br /> on the Road D cut and fill slopes, the seed and fertilizer will be applied immediately prior to, and <br /> separately from, the mulch.
