These gouges shall be sufficiently close so that no more than twelve inches <br /> (12") exists between the crest of one gouge and the crest of an adjacent gouge, in <br /> any direction. <br /> Roughening in this manner will occur at all areas disturbed during reclamation construction, <br /> unless otherwise specified for a particular feature or area. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for this task will be reflected in a lump sum <br /> bid under Item 9 on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs for removal of <br /> stockpiled topsoil, distribution of topsoil onto the affected areas of the Project Area, roughening <br /> of soil. Such payment shall be considered full compensation for all labor, materials, equipment <br /> and all other items necessary and incidental to the placement of topsoil as directed and <br /> described in the specifications. Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown <br /> under Item 9 of the Bid Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by <br /> the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> TASK 10 REVEGETATION <br /> FOR SLOPES STEEPER THAN 3HAV(Estimated 4.1 ACRES; Road Backfills, Cut Slope <br /> Behind Coal Refuse Pile, Rock Tunnel Vicinity), : <br /> Broadcast application of seed and fertilizer and hand mulching and crimping, or hydro <br /> seeding and hydro mulching will be required. If hydro seeding and hydro mulching is <br /> selected, the seed and fertilizer will be applied in a first application, and the mulch applied <br /> separately. Seed application rate will be double the drill seed application rate (Table 1, <br /> Mine Site Seed Mixture) for broadcast and hydro seeding applications. <br /> FOR SLOPES FLATTER THAN 3H:1 V(Estimated 12.8 ACRES): <br /> Broadcast application of seed and fertilizer and hand or mechanical mulching and <br /> crimping is preferred. Hydro seeding and hydro mulching, and drill seeding is acceptable. <br /> If hydro seeding and hydro mulching is selected, the seed and fertilizer will be applied in <br /> a first application, and the mulch applied separately. Liquid mulch tackifier is preferred in <br /> all cases. Seed application rate will be double the drill seed application rate (Table 1, <br /> Mine Site Seed Mixture) for broadcast and hydro seeding applications. <br /> All areas disturbed during reclamation work and any other areas specified in these Special <br /> Conditions will be revegetated according to the Revegetation Specifications in the General Bid <br /> Specifications. Commercial fertilizer is required for this project, and will be supplied by <br /> CONTRACTOR.
