Excepting the seeding work to be accomplished in conjunction with the work specified in Task 8, <br /> Surface Channels, no revegetation efforts may be initiated prior to September 13, 1999. <br /> In addition to the revegetation specifications outlined in Section 20.0 attached, the following <br /> requirements will be adhered to: <br /> Seed <br /> Seed will be provided by the OWNER. CONTRACTOR must give the PROJECT MANAGER at <br /> least ten (10)working days notice of the acreage to be seeded, so that the proper amount of <br /> seed is delivered. Hand written acreage calculations are acceptable. <br /> Fertilizers <br /> Commercial fertilizer is required for this project. Fertilizer shall be provided by CONTRACTOR, <br /> and shall conform to Section 20.2 (commercial fertilizer) of the Revegetation Specifications, <br /> attached. <br /> Seedbed Preparation <br /> Seedbed preparation is required. Generally, seedbed preparation has been accomplished as a <br /> result of the surface roughening. In areas which were not roughened, seedbed preparation as <br /> described in Section 20.3 of the Revegetation Specifications, attached, shall be accomplished <br /> Mulches <br /> Mulching is required for this project. Mulch shall be provided by CONTRACTOR, and shall <br /> conform to Section 20.2 of the Revegetation Specifications, attached. All mulch shall be certified <br /> as noxious weed free or noxious weed seed free by any authorized State or County Officer. <br /> Documentation of certification shall be provided to the PROJECT MANAGER prior to application <br /> of mulch. <br /> The mulch must be anchored to the ground surface either by hand or through the use of a <br /> tackifier. Mechanical crimping is acceptable, provided that the features created during <br /> completion of Task 9, Topsoil Application and Surface Roughening, are not damaged or <br /> destroyed. <br /> The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer (commercial), mulch, and equipment for chiseling, <br /> fertilizer application, seeding, mulching and crimping. Revegetation efforts will occur on <br /> approximately seventeen (17) acres, which includes all areas subject to activities undertaken <br /> during performance of this Project. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment for this Task will be as per Revegetation Specification 20.0. <br /> Revegetated areas will be measured to the nearest 0.1 acre and paid at the unit price bid on the <br /> Bid Schedule Item 10 The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all <br /> other items necessary for revegetation as described in these specifications, including work on the <br /> Old Refuse Pile and at the Sutey Topsoil Stockpile. Payment for this task will be made only for <br /> the unit price shown under Item 10of the Bid Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is <br /> completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> TASK 11 POST CONSTRUCTION SEDIMENT CONTROL <br /> 21 <br />
