MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT Measurement and payment will be made as per Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental, of the "Standard Work Specifications, Colorado Inactive Mine Reclamation Program", 1993, which is attached. Payment will be made at the unit prices established in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule. The hours outlined in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. TASK 6 REVEGETATION REQUIREMENTS All areas disturbed during reclamation work and any other areas specified in these Special Conditions will be revegetated according to the Revegetation Specifications 20.0, attached. Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. The Sutey Refuse Disposal Area will be seeded with the "Sutey Refuse Area Seed Mixture" (attached). All other areas will be seeded with the "Mine Site Seed Mixture" (attached). In addition to the attached revegetation specifications outlined in Section 20.0, attached. The following requirements will apply: • These revegetation procedures will be preformed on all areas disturbed by project work, approximately 22 acres. The CONTRACTOR will supply mulch, equipment for chiseling, fertilizer application, seeding, mulching and crimping. • Fertilizers: The CONTRACTOR will supply commercial fertilizer for approximately five (5) acres at the Old Refuse Pile. All other areas do not require fertilizer. • Seed: Seed will be provided by the OWNER. The CONTRACTOR must give the PROJECT MANAGER at least fourteen (14) calendar days notice of the acreage to be seeded, so the PROJECT MANAGER can deliver the proper amount of seed. • For slopes steeper than 3H:1 V (4.0 acres): Broadcast application of seed and fertilizer and hand mulching and crimping will be required. Portions of both disposal areas have slopes which are steeper than 31-1:1 V. Seed application rate will be double the drill seed application rate. • For slopes flatter than 3H:1 V (18 acres): All seed drilling and crimping operations will be operated on contour. Measurement and Payment Measurement and payment for this Task will be as per Specification 20.0, attached. Revegetated areas will be measured to the nearest 0.1 acre. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all other items necessary for revegetation as described in these specifications. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for this task shall be made only for that amount shown under Task 6 of the Bid Schedule. Any or all incidental costs incurred by the CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR'S expense. 11
