2. Specific Objectives
Based upon the proposed land allocation from the "selected" alternative, the following
objectives can be attained:
-To permit energy development with recognition of all laws, regulations and statutes.
-To produce 9,700 AUM's of forage to support local livestock industry and enhance
associated rural atmosphere.
-To provide for orderly management of 16,000 acres of timber at a sustained annual
harvest of 4.5 million board feet.
-To provide for 19,5CO recreation visitor days use at developed sites along the
Crystal River.
-To orovigefor duelopment nit' s t2 serve 6000 skiers-at-one-time.
-To orovIde 25,300 dispersed recreation visit opportunities to mee one projected
local Jalley growth as well as tourist needs.
-To identify 16,400 acres of wildlife habitat for enrancement of wildlife values.
-To retain the state of Colorado water duality standards.
-To develop a transportation system consisting of 19 additional miles of roadway,
to serve resources and commodities.
