Site Reclamation Activity <br /> _ 4/95 - 3/96 <br /> Page 4 <br /> Activities planned for 1996 are; <br /> 1) annual site cleanup. <br /> 2) maintenance of and possibly additional upgrade of stormwater <br /> drainage controls. <br /> 3) completion of the upland subsurface interception and diversion <br /> ditch. <br /> 4) maintenance and operation of the water treatment system for <br /> the portal discharge in compliance with the CDPS Permit for <br /> this discharge. <br /> 5) construction of a system to divert and treat Cement Creek <br /> water according to the Voluntary Consent Decree and Order <br /> negotiated with CDPHE-WQCD in order to allow closure of the <br /> tunnel bulkhead valves without risk of being cited for <br /> discharging without a CDPS permit (TR-019) . <br /> 6) monitoring and maintenance of revegetated areas. <br /> TERRY TUNNEL AREA - Plate No. 2 <br /> During the 1995 reporting year, no additional acreage was disturbed <br /> and reclamation work was started on 1 . 65 acres. <br /> Activity at this site consisted of; <br /> 1) operation of the water treatment plant from early July to <br /> late September. The water treatment ponds were cleaned 3 <br /> times during this period with the mudcat dredge and tank <br /> trucks. The removed material was hauled to the Mayflower Mill <br /> - Tailings Pond #4 . <br /> 2) spreading topsoil on the slopes of the waste dump apron, <br /> planting with the Alpine Mix (seed mix in Appendix A) at a <br /> rate of 20 lbs pls per acre, fertilization with liquid <br /> fertilizer (32-0-0) at a rate of 50 gallons per acre and <br /> mulching with hay at a rate of 1 ton per acre. <br /> Activities planned for 1996 are; <br /> 1) operation of the water treatment plant as required by the CDPS <br /> permit for the portal discharge until valve closure on the <br /> tunnel bulkhead. <br />
