Work will commence in September 1987 and be
completed before winter weather ends the field
construction season at high altitude . Additional
gravel production by screening may be required in
subsequent summers.
Exploration drilling will also be conducted in the
Sunnyside Basin during the summer season. Roughly
fourteen drill sites are anticipated to be used during
1987. Eleven lie on patented mining claims, while
three are located on public land .
PROPOSED DISTURBANCE
Disturbance for gravel production will be limited
to dozing a temporary road and gravel screening within
the previously disturbed areas of the Sunnyside Basin.
The areas potentially to be disturbed are at an eleva-
tion of 12 ,200 to 12,360 feet mean sea level (FMSL) ,
and no topsoil is present . All areas to be disturbed
lie within the current permit boundaries, and potential
borrow areas and access routes are shown on Exhibit Cl .
Disturbance for exploration drilling will consist
of 1) road widening at drill sites lA and iB; 2) road
and drill pad filling at sites 3A, 3B, and 3C; and
3) two track access and drill pad dozing at sites
7
-2- '
