May 24, 2012 C -1982- 056 /Foidel Creek Mine JDM
- The erosion and small diversion ditch at the 6MN sediment pond has been addressed and is stable with no
problems noted. This area is bare and will require seeding to provide stability.
- The low area at the east side of the 6MN holding pond has been addressed; however pending water remains in
the area. This area should be addressed to alleviate the pooling water at the base of the embankment.
All pond spillways were functioning as designed with no problems noted.
Ditches and culverts throughout the mine site were functioning as designed. No problems were noted with the
exception of the following:
- The sump located northwest of Pond B has heavy sediment at the south end. This sump will need to be cleaned
to ensure adequate freeboard is maintained.
Brian Watterson indicated that water level at the Fish Creek Borehole was at 3Oft of freeboard and 40ft of
freeboard at the l ORT borehole.
6MN Holding Pond 6MN Sediment Control Pond Embankment Repair
. jr
A
d
or .
r
,& r .
Pond B and Sediment Control Sump Repair Work
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 3 of 8
