Myers
Public Health Engineer
Colorado Air Pollution Control Division
720 North Main Street
Pueblo, Colorado 81003
Re : Citizen Complaint
Dear Mr. Myers :
On October 13, 1987, AMAX Inc. received a complaint of
blowing dust at the Climax Mine from Mr. John Farr. Mr.
Far•r ' s letter- requested information and was not copied
elsewhere , so Climax responded directly but did not copy
that response to either your office or the Mined Land
Reclamation Division.
In talking with Ms. Ann Baldridge of the MLRD today, I was
informed that Mr. Farr- , indeed, did direct a letter of
complaint to the MLRD. Therefore, I am attaching a copy
of Mr. Farr' s letter and our reply for your information
and files. The reply is self-explanatory, and coupled
with Climax' s October 23, 1987 report and your August site
inspection , it should give you a good idea of what
occurred at that time.
Please call me should you require additional clarifica-
tion.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey W.
