In addition, the DMG required on- <br /> going monitoring and inspection of the Site (to identify and prevent <br /> potential problems). in addition, the agencies impose requirements for <br /> reporting the results of such monitoring. <br /> 2.3.6 Reclamation <br /> Mies• <br /> Reclamation of the Mine #6 area included removal of scrap and trash, <br /> final grading and contouring of the bench area on which mine facilities <br /> had been located, re-sealing of the lower portal, with installation of a <br /> buried pipe to allow drainage from the portal, grading and topsoiling of <br /> the lower yard area, seeding and mulching the entire area. The <br /> embankment along Coal Creek was armored with large-size rock, and <br /> the stream was redirected into a former channel to prevent <br /> undercutting of the yard area. See photographs, Attachment 2w13. <br /> Unit Train load-out. <br /> Concerning reclar cation, the approved permit (C-81-017) provides, at <br /> Vol. 9, App. Vii-H. 1: <br /> At the end ff mining the property will be converted to some <br /> other commercial business. The offices will remain and the <br /> 32,000-ton slot bin will be Converted into a warehouse. <br /> Minor Revision#46, issued November 10, 19930 approved <br /> implementation of the plan to convert the coal storage facility into a <br /> warehouse by filling the bin to surface level. Material was obtained <br /> from the hillside behind the facility and pushed into the bin through <br /> panels which had been removed from the sides. When this fiad been <br /> completed, the hillside was topsoiled, seeded and mulched, and the <br /> mulch crimped. See photographs, Attachment 2-13. <br /> Sute Pile. <br /> Final grading of the pile was completed in the summer of 1993, with <br /> the exception of the remaining segment of conveyor belt.
