U4
Reclamation Report #1
The plan will be to push the material horizonally across the area, so that it is placed
along the length of the cut. Material to bury the coal may be drawn from the berm at
the fence; eventually, road material can be pushed over the embankment to bury the
coal. However, further worF. in this area will have to wait for removal of the conveyor
belt(s).
John may use the D-SN dozer to stir up snow/coal material as a means to speed up the
snowmelt process. Portion:; of the fence around the southern boundary of the lower
area may be removed Immediately.
Sutey Pile
John will begin pushing snow off the pile so that it can be accessed earlier in the
season. He will use the D-E:N dozer. The material pushed from the pile will go into the
ditch to the Sutey sediment ponds. This will require approximately 4 to 5 days' work.
When the snow clears and 1he area can be worked, the dozer will be used to make two
roadways along the pile for access by the loaders. Both loaders (980 and 945) will be
used to deposit contents of cne (1) topsoil pile on the Sutey pile. Grading of the topsoil
may be deferred until the conditions are dry.
Culverts will be placed over the ditches to protect them from the loaders, which will
cross to deposit topsoil. Hay bales will aiso be placed as necessary for sediment
control.
On-site Chemicals
Various barrels of chemical:, used in the mining operation remain on-site. These
include flocc ulants, resin, by-chok oil. An inventory of all su;h chemicals will be done
and the MSDS sheets for sLIch chemicals will be assembled. All such barrels will be
assembled in a single site.
MA E. will be asked whether they wish or expect to be able to sell any of these
chemicals. If not, we will determine proper means for disposal.
Waste Oil
Mesa oil has removed 2,000 gals. waste oil. Additional waste oil is being combined for
removal. Mesa will again be called to remove another load. Oil cans and barrels will
be crushed and taken to the junk-yard at Cattle Creek.
Manifests are/will be collected for all the oil removed from the property.
Training Requirements
3
