2.2 WATER
In the Nucla area PCC owns water rights which are in
good standing with the water court. These rights are as
follows:
(a) Absolute storage right of 4 . 0 acre-feet (5-001) ,
associated with the NUCLA mine reservoir designated
Pond 001 (Figure 2) .
(b) Surface-water rights represented by ownership of
twenty-seven (27) out of 3250 shares of the
Colorado Co-operative Company which owns the
Highline Canal. This canal has surface-water
rights to 155 cfs from a diversion on the San
Miguel River located as shown in Figure 1. These
rights are designated S-44 in Table 1. Table 7
provides additional details about these rights.
The 27 shares represent an average diversion of
about 273. 3 acre-feet from the San Miguel River,
and are associated with the tract designated as
262-007. This tract is partially coincident with
