There was discussion of employing a current Social Service employee part time for
that department as a LEAP clerk and part time for the IV-D Department. There is some
difference In the merit system and county salary levels, but this will be worked out
dependent upon the work being performed. The health insurance premium cost could be
split between the two departments.
M/S/P - Neesham/McNeil - to allow an employee to work two different part-time jobs
within the county to constitute up to a full-time salary. The motion passed by a
unanimous vote of the two Commissioners present.
9:40 a.m. Pat Warren appeared to present the Ron Ramey Exemption resolution as
approved previously.

R E S O L U T I O N
OF
THE BOARD OF MONTROSE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
CONCERNING: Ronald A. Ramey Exemption
WHEREAS, Ronald A. Ramey has applied for an exemption allowing said
applications to make a division of land subject to Subdivision Regulations of the County
of Montrose, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the circumstances of the division of land do not require the controls
imposed by the Subdivision Regulations of Montrose County in the judgement of the
undersigned Montrose County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the lands to be affected by this resolution have existing water, sewer
and County road access; and
WHEREAS, the lands to be affected by this resolution are described on the
attached property description signed by Jack Kruse, registered surveyor;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE UNDERSIGNED County Commissioners of
Montrose County, Colorado, do hereby accept the division by the party above r.amec,
eescribed on the attached property description.
Is hereby granted this 26th day of May, 1981.

Mr. Warren was authorized to attend a hazardous materials workshop in Denver the
second weex of June.
In talking with the county attorney regarding the Lace_fie'_c zoning violation matter,
ne has determined the county must coneuct its own investigation of the -.tuation. The _
SnerL_ 's Department has other hicher-pricrity cases to investigate and the District
Attorney is no longer cooperating w:tn the Lanc Use on such cases. Mr. Warren was
instructed to compile a list of cases pending (both building and septic related), and a
working plan for prosecutions with the steps tare❑ previously when the cases were

representatives Hanr. Davis, Gary Melvin, -rank .arns-crth, and Dennis Dawson. Peabody
has no problem with the requirements made by M:.R for transfer of their third coal
extraction trench to the ccunty for landfill purposes. Tney are concerned with who has

-ells will continue as long as Peabody's mining activity toes (estimated at 10-15 years).
Commissioner Neesnam suggested tna, Peabody cc in and open up the trenched area and the
county will take over the seeding~responsibilities as consideration.
Commissioner Schmalz entered the meetine at 10:10 a.m. The Commissioners declined
to taxe over the monitoring of the welts, nut did request a copy of the vet: reports.
Peabody will be finished with the trench area by year end and woulc lire the transfer
completed in lE months. This was agreed to as the county snoulc be react' for it by tnen
for landfill purposes. Commissioner Neesham suggested there be a letter of agreement
between the two entitles stating their intent to cooperate on this agreement for securing
the land for future landfill use.
