Data from
monitoring well 97013TC indicate
mining has not impaired the use of
groundwater from the Trout Creek
Sandstone in the permit area, with
water levels and quality remaining
stable in 2011.
The disturbance to the hydrologic
balance within and adjacent to the
permit area caused by mining and
22. In 2011, Site
115 discharged in January for two
days due to a crack in a pipeline
valve where treated water flows
underground. No further
discharges occurred at the Site.
Due to the discharge at Site 115
required downstream sampling
was conducted at surface creek
23. Discharge
outside the permit area
at 10RT was initiated in early
September 2008 due to a rise in
water levels within sealed mine
areas. During discharge,
downstream water samples were
collected to verify potential
impacts. Samples were collected
at Trout Creek (Site 1005)
downstream of confluences from
Fish Creek and Foidel Creek.
Subsequent water quality data
from 10RT raw effluent indicated
exceedances for FeTR and WET
tests.
