Hydrology reports indicate that
mining has dropped the
potentiometric surface of the
Wadge overburden by
approximately 400feet in
undermined areas (well 93M001)
but not in areas beyond mining or
the permit area (well 008 - 7758.)
The steep decline in 93M001 was
exhibited from 1994 to 2002 with
the decline stabilizing from 2005
to 201. The Twentymile
Sandstone water levels at well
006 - BRDH -7 remained relatively
constant with that of previous
years, with no mining impacts
apparent. Levels in well FBR -2
dropped 56 feet in 2003 and
dropped another 84 feet in 2005
which can be contributed to the
approaching 6 Right panel. In
2005 water levels began to
recover and continue through
2011. Pumping for mine use of
Trout Creek sandstone wells 001-
83 -106 and 001 -83 -107 is likely
the cause of a drop in the
potentiometric surface of the
Trout Creek sandstone at these
wells. There is a slight rising trend
from 2006 to 2011 at 001 -83 -106.
These drops are likely a local
impact due to the proximity of the
two wells near the Trout Creek
sandstone's up -dip outcrop belt.
Therefore, the impact would not
be expected to extend beyond the
permit area. This appears to be
the case as localized dewatering at
well 001 -83 -106 has stabilized in
2000 and continues to be stable
through 2011. A decline of water
level in well 001 -83 -107 continues
to be the trend in 2011. However
the decline appears to be more
subtle at the end of 2011.
21.
