Access Portal Collapse Repair and Equipment and Stope Rock Removal Work Plan March 2, 2012
May Day No. 1
DRMS. Also, Wildcat now proposes to not re- create the second portal to the May Day No. 1 at
the terminus of the Mill Portal. While it may be appropriate for the mill to remain at this
location, Wildcat intends to submit a TR pursuant to the Original Work Plan to locate, design
and secure the mill. For this work plan, Wildcat desires only to close the mill portal and
reestablish the main Access Portal for future rehab and investigation in the May Day No. 1. The
existing mill portal will be covered as part of the backfilled slope during the final portal
stabilization process. Through the present Work Plan, Wildcat seeks permission to perform or
proceed in concurrence with the following tasks in two phases, with the first four tasks
performed as Phase 1 and the second three tasks performed as Phase 2:
Phase 1
1) Installation of erosion and sediment control BMPs at the site followed by removal of the
collapse material from on top of and within both the Access Portal and the Mill Portal. In
the event pooled water is encountered behind the collapsed material, water will be
pumped to one of the two water storage tanks located on the May Day No. 1 bench;
2) Remove buried equipment from the Mill Portal and Access Portal following removal of
approximately 2,300 cubic yards of collapsed debris from that area (i.e., jaw crusher,
cone crusher, mucker);
3) Remove damaged steel sets and place new steel set(s) and protective canopy inside the
Access Portal for safety purposes;
4) Obtain representative samples of material located within the stope and conduct a
geotechnical Z +F phase scan of the stope and portions of the May Day No. 1 adit. The
samples will be used for environmental, mining and processing purposes;
Phase 2
5) Perform a geotechnical reconnaissance of the site, and submit a proposed design for long-
term stabilization and repair of the Access Portal and stabilization of the highwall above
the portal;
6) Complete backfilling and stabilization of the Access Portal and highwall areas including,
if necessary, the installation of additional steel sets and/or other appropriate stabilization
techniques such as rock bolting or shotcrete application within the adit; and,
7) Begin removing approximately 5,000 cubic yards of rock or ore from the stope accessed
by the May Day No. 1 Portal to allow for the investigation and analysis of the stope and
adits for potential tailings disposal as set forth in Exhibit 6.5, and to work with a third
party mill to perform a pilot to develop and optimize a milling process. Wildcat will
move this stockpiled rock or ore from the stope to a stockpile at the bench at the May
EnviroGroup Limited
DEN 97, 749, 013v3 2 -29 -12
2
