WORK TO BE DONE BY OTHERS <br />• Field Engineering Services, inclusive of surveying, lay -outs & as- builts. <br />• Any and all outside testing required by this installation. SSI will provide its daily <br />field sheets & has included the required laboratory testing. <br />A level, stable, dry & vegetative -free work platform to support our equipment <br />must be provided and maintained. The platform must be 40' wide and along the <br />center line of the slurry wall. Work platform must be a minimum of 3' above the <br />groundwater level and have a grade longitudinally no greater than 2 %. <br />• Roads and ramps must be firm and stable. They must be suitable for our <br />equipment, heavy machinery, and material trucks. These roads will provide easy <br />access to the set -up area, job site, mixing plant, and local roads. These roads <br />and ramps must be provided and maintained. <br />• Provision of fine material for SSI to use in its soil bentonite slurry. <br />• Saw cutting of asphalt for the slurry wall installation, if required, and its <br />restoration. <br />Supply of a suitable water source (160,000 gpd) to our mixing plant. Potable <br />water is preferred. <br />• Location, encasement and /or relocation of buried and overhead utilities in the <br />path of our work. Electrical wires & poles must have the OSHA required <br />clearance. <br />• Relocating and protecting all utilities and adjoining structures which may be <br />affected by the slurry wall work. You shall have, and indemnify us against, <br />liability for damage to utilities and adjoining structures which are not relocated <br />and adequately protected. <br />• A clay cap or other required covering material must be provided, if required. <br />• All site clean -up and restoration (e.g. vegetation or pavement) must be provided. <br />• Any and all permits and permissions must be provided. <br />• Miscellaneous provisions, e.g. watch person, barricades, sanitation, flag person, <br />notification to adjacent property owners and utility companies, must be provided, <br />if required. <br />Safety & decontamination facilities for equipment, materials, personnel, & <br />disposal of personal protective equipment must be provided and maintained, if <br />required. <br />• Disposal of excess slurry. <br />• Disposal of excess trench spoil & backfill materials. SSI will windrow (spread) <br />these material along the workpad, for your convenience, which will consist of <br />broken rock, boulders, cobbles, & excess soils. <br />• Erosion control. <br />• Removal of any obstructions along the slurry wall alignment that our equipment <br />on site cannot safely & readily handle within a reasonable amount of time. All <br />obstruction removal time, if done by SSI, will be charged based on time & <br />material. <br />CONDITIONS <br />All slurry work will be performed in one continuous operation once SSI <br />
