Mining and Safety
Slurry Systems, Inc. is a small business, women - owned, & family operated specialty contractor.
We instill traditional family values in every project we build. We have installed well over 100
successful slurry walls across the United States and Canada. We believe our company's
reputation, past projects and integrity speak for themselves. SSI is a pro- active company and
takes great pride in its safety record.
PROJECT SCOPE
The project includes the construction of an soil bentonite slurry wall (permeability of 1 x 10 h
cm /sec) of approximately 300,000 square feet which is about 5,000 ft long, 39 inches wide and
up to 83 ft deep (average depth is 60 ft). The wall will be built using the conventional backhoe
method. A work pad, 40' wide, stable, & level, is to be provided by others along the alignment
of the slurry wall. The work pad must have a grade no greater than 2% longitudinally (along the
alignment of the slurry wall).
QUALITY CONTROL
A fully documented quality control program will be enacted Daily field tests of the wall
materials will he performed and documented on our field forms. We will source out a laboratory
to perform tests documenting the permeability of the slurry wall materials every 50 LF
PROJECT PRICE
We proudly submit the following budgetary proposal to furnish all labor, materials, and
equipment to install the slurry wall work and graciously entertain any questions associated with
it:
Mobilization n/a lump sum $ 125,000 00
Conventional Wall 300,000 SQFT
$ 6.25 /SQFT $ 1,875,000.00
