If we can just have an <br />2 opportunity to respond to any issues, if appropriate, <br />3 at the end, I'd very much appreciate it. <br />4 By way of introduction, the GEC mine is <br />5 a reclaimed coal mine for which the permit was revoked <br />6 and the bond was forfeited many years ago. Reclamation <br />7 was conducted in several phases at this project with <br />8 the available bond money. <br />9 We were, frankly, short on money. This <br />10 was a bankruptcy situation, and we did not get all of <br />11 the dollars that we had anticipated. So we did the <br />12 best that we could with the reclamation given the funds <br />13 that we had available to us. All of the -- all of the <br />14 required -- statutorily required reclamation was <br />15 completed back in 1994 at this site. <br />16 Now, the division intended to do <br />17 additional work at this project this year beginning, <br />18 actually, this May, but we canceled the project at the <br />19 direction of the Corley Company, and, frankly, we do <br />20 not intend to do any further work at the site. <br />21 Let me talk about what we were going to <br />22 do very briefly here. The work that was to be <br />23 completed at the GEC mine this May and June was to be <br />24 done with severance tax funds. The work, in our <br />25 opinion, was above and beyond any of our statutory <br />
