Please clarify if any inert structural fill will be imported to the site.
10. Please clarify if there will be highwalls remaining on the site following the completion of
reclamation. If there will be highwalls remaining on the reclaimed site, then please specify
the approximate dimensions and locate the highwalls on the Reclamation Plan Map.
11. During the inspection conducted on October 7, 2011, the Operator stated that the amended
area has a grazing lease. In the Division's experience it is difficult to establish vegetation on
land that is grazed. Please provide the Division with a plan for establishing vegetation while
the site is grazed or commit to keeping livestock off of the reclaimed area until vegetation
has established.
14. The approved Reclamation Plan calls for replacing 32,000 cubic yards of topsoil over 38.75
acres. Please provide the Division with a revised volume of topsoil to be replaced during
reclamation.
6.4.6 Exhibit F — Reclamation Plan Map
15. The Operator has indicated this Exhibit remains unchanged from the original application.
The original Reclamation Plan Map does not depict the amended area. Please submit a
revised Reclamation Plan Map which portrays the expected physical appearance of the
affected land. The map must show the proposed topography of the area with contour lines of
sufficient detail to portray the direction and rate of slope of all reclaimed lands. In addition,
the Reclamation Plan Map must conform to the criteria outlined in items g-j, under No. 3 of
this letter.
6.4.7 Exhibit G — Water Information
16. During the inspection conducted on October 7, 2011, the Division noted that a new
groundwater well was being installed. As required by Rule 6.4.7(4), please provide the
Division with the projected amount from each of the sources of water to supply the project
water requirements for the mining operation and reclamation. In addition, please locate the
well on the Mining Plan Map and provide the Division with a copy of the well permit.
