amed <br />representative and found to be constructed in accordance with design drawings and project <br />specifications. <br />Anchor trench backfill was performed between stations A39 +00 ( + / -) and A44 +00 ( + / -), near <br />centerline, and between stations A4 +00 ( + / -) and A8 +30 ( + / -), near centerline, and between <br />stations J25 +00 ( + / -) and J30 +20 ( + / -) using a John Deere 35D excavator, a vibratory plate <br />compactor and laborers. An AMEC field representative observed the backfill and it was found <br />to be constructed in accordance with design drawings and project specifications. <br />E) Geomembrane Acceptance <br />1) VLF <br />Primary 80mil geomembrane (P937 -P939 and P991- P1033) shown on Figure 4 was inspected <br />by AMEC and Lonestar representatives and found to be installed within project specifications <br />and acceptable for continued construction activities. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />AMEC observed slope contouring within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed and assisted in the placement of SLF material within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC inspected and approved subgrade prior to geomembrane deployment within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed, logged data, and assisted in the installation of geomembrane within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed the excavation and backfill of anchor trenches within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC inspected and approved 80mil primary geomembrane within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed the installation of the high volume solution collection system within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed, obtained samples, and assisted in the process of DCF material at the DCF Process area. <br />AMEC observed the DCF placement within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed leak detection system construction within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed the remediation of the UG #3014 area. <br />Testing Summary <br />Laboratory testing continued (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, Moisture- Density Relations, <br />Specific Gravity, Permeability, and Point Load testing) for sampled materials. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 09.24.2011 <br />
