Geomembrane installation was performed in the area shown on <br />Figure 3. Approximately 425,278 square feet of 80mil LLDPE was deployed using a Komatsu <br />200 excavator and a John Deere 544 front -end loader with spreader -bar attachments. Subgrade <br />was inspected and approved by AMEC and Lonestar representatives prior to geomembrane <br />deployment (see Figure 3). Approximately 20,873 linear feet of seam was fusion welded using <br />three fusion welding machine /welding technician combinations. Forty -six destructive test <br />samples were marked during fusion seaming. Approximately 1,351 linear feet of seam was <br />extrusion welded using one extrusion welding machine /welding technician combinations. Five <br />destructive test samples were marked during extrusion seaming. All destructive tests performed <br />were within project specifications. Non - destructive testing was performed for fusion welded <br />seams. Repairs were performed using the extrusion welding method for all marked defects. <br />Vacuum testing was performed for all extrusion welded seams and repairs. <br />During the Cresson blast, an AMEC field representative observed the geomembrane and no <br />damage was noted. <br />D) Anchor Trench <br />1) VLF <br />Anchor trench excavation continued between stations A5 +50 ( + / -) and A8 +30 ( + / -), near <br />centerline, and between stations J21 +50 ( + / -) and J29 +00 ( + / -), near centerline, using a John <br />Deere 35D excavator and one laborer. The anchor trench was inspected by an AMEC field <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 09.24.2011 <br />
