Erickson <br />Response to August 22, 2011 Hays Memorandum <br />September 9, 2011 <br />Page 12 <br />Adequacy Issue No. 21. <br />In the Retaining Structures section of the Work Plan the Applicant states the fill will be <br />moisture conditioned to near the optimum moisture content. Please provide a moisture <br />conditioning range or commit to providing this information in the required geotechnical <br />report after completion of the additional investigation (See Question # 6 above). <br />Response to Adequacy Issue No. 21. <br />Wildcat will provide a moisture conditioning range after completing the <br />engineering and geologic evaluations described in the Pre - Construction section at Page 5 <br />of the New Access Road Work Plan, and will submit any modifications to its proposed <br />design, as necessary, through the Technical Revision or Amendment process. <br />Adequacy Issue No. 22. <br />Please provide additional information and specifications for the proposed Gabion wall <br />retaining structures, including typical drawings, for Division review. Additionally, <br />please include the source of the rock required to construct the structures. <br />Response to Adequacy Issue No. 22. <br />Wildcat will provide additional information and specifications for the proposed <br />Gabion wall retaining structures, including typical drawings, for DRMS review after <br />completing the engineering and geologic evaluations described in the Pre - Construction <br />section at Page 5 of the New Access Road Work Plan, and will submit any modifications <br />to its proposed design, as necessary, through the Technical Revision or Amendment <br />process. <br />Adequacy Issue No. 23. <br />In the Quality Assurance section of the Work Plan the Applicant states field density tests <br />will be performed in accordance with ASTM 2922 -05. The ASTM standard referenced <br />by the Applicant has been withdrawn and replace by ASTM D6938 -10.
