Erickson <br />Response to August 22, 2011 Hays Memorandum <br />September 9, 2011 <br />Page 10 <br />Adequacy Issue No. 15. <br />In the Road Cuts, Fills, Retaining Walls and Reclamation section of the Work Plan the <br />Applicant states slopes in the terrace deposits and colluvium interval between 16 +00 and <br />19 +00 will be flattened to 1:1 using an excavator. This statement is inconsistent with the <br />Applicant's statement in the "Purpose" section of the work plan, which states slopes will <br />be no steeper than 1.5(V) to 1(V) in the colluvium area (Question #4 above). <br />Response to Adequacy Issue No. 15. <br />See supra Response to Adequacy Issue No. 4.a. <br />Adequacy Issue No. 16. <br />In the Road Cuts, Fills, Retaining Walls and Reclamation section of the Work Plan the <br />Applicant states cut slopes in the Morrison formation can be steepened to a maximum <br />slope ranging from 0.5(H):1(V) to 1:1. Please respond to Question #5 above and revise <br />this statement accordingly. <br />Response to Adequacy Issue No. 16. <br />See supra Response to Adequacy Issue Nos. 4.a. and 5. <br />Adequacy Issue No. 17. <br />In the Construction Specifications section of the Work Plan the Applicant states the <br />upper 30 inches will be moisture conditioned and compacted to 95% RC per ASTM <br />D1557 -09. Please commit to moisture conditioning and compacting all fill material to <br />95 percent relative compaction per ASTM D1557 -09. <br />Response to Adequacy Issue No. 17. <br />Wildcat will commit to moisture conditioning and compacting all fill material to <br />95 percent relative compaction per ASTM D1557 -09. <br />Adequacy Issue No. 18. <br />In the Construction Specifications section of the Work Plan the Applicant states slopes <br />steeper than 1.5(11):1(V) will be constructed as outlined (with reinforcement) in the <br />attached design (CLC). The CLC designs indicated slopes at, not steeper than <br />1.5(H):1(V) will be reinforced with Gabion structures.
