Erickson <br />Response to Fifth Adequacy <br />September 9, 2011 <br />Page 16 <br />DEN 97,599,531v1 9 -9 -11 <br />• Wildcat will implement the following work plan to evaluate an <br />appropriate disposal plan for process water: <br />• Obtain representative sample of recycled process water during <br />mill operations; <br />• Transport sample for laboratory testing, including hazardous <br />waste determination to evaluate corrosivity, reactivity and <br />toxicity; <br />• Perform engineering evaluations to develop conclusions and <br />recommendations regarding the following: <br />o Acceptable duration for recycled water process; <br />o Frequency for disposal of recycled process water; <br />o Characteristics of recycled process water; <br />o Disposal location and practices for recycled process water; <br />and, <br />o Design criteria for disposal locations or facilities for <br />recycled process water. <br />• Prepare a technical memorandum summarizing the results of <br />the work described above; <br />• Submit revised design plans for disposal locations or facilities <br />for recycled process water, as necessary, through the <br />Technical Revision or Amendment process; and, <br />• After obtaining DRMS approval through the Technical <br />Revision or Amendment process, proceed with remainder of <br />work plan, construct approved disposal locations or facilities <br />for recycled process water, and obtain licensed professional <br />engineer certification of disposal locations or facilities for <br />recycled process water as Environmental Protection Facilities. <br />• Pipelines for tailings and recycled process water. <br />o Wildcat is submitting a revised Attachment D -2, Figure D -1 (May Day No. 1 <br />Surface Facilities) showing the location and conceptual design for the <br />pipelines for tailings and recycled process water.
