PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />SECTION 01450 <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE /QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. This section covers quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) <br />requirements. <br />1.2 RELATED SECTIONS <br />A. Section 01330: Submittals. <br />B. Section 02320: Earthwork. <br />C. Section 02610: HDPE Pipe and Fittings <br />D. Section 02620: Geosynthetic Liner <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit in accordance with Section 01330: Submittals. <br />1.4 DEFINITIONS <br />J <br />A. QA: Independent testing and construction observation to confirm that in- <br />place materials and finished products comply with the Specifications, and <br />finished products meet the intent of design and that construction <br />procedures meet or exceed the intent of the Specifications and were not <br />altered in a manner to potentially adversely impact the integrity or <br />performance of the finished products. <br />B. QC: Sampling, testing, and measuring by the Contractor to check that all <br />materials used for the Work comply with the Specifications, and that the <br />work and finished products comply with the Design Drawings and <br />Technical Specifications. <br />C. RIO GRANDE SILVER: Rio Grande Silver refers specifically to the owner <br />of the Project. <br />D. PROJECT MANAGER: The Project Manager refers specifically to the <br />individual appointed by Rio Grande Silver. The Project Manager is the <br />official representative of Rio Grande Silver responsible for all construction <br />activities including oversight and direction during construction. The <br />Project Manager is also responsible for coordinating QA activities for the <br />project. <br />The Project Manager shall serve as communications coordinator for the <br />project initiating preconstruction and resolution meetings.
