MINING PLAN EXHIBIT C (CONT)
We plan to start mining the eastern end of the stockpiled
material, the north east corner of the permitted area. At this
point we will clean up the stock piles to the original ground
level, as each stock pile is cleaned up, we will spread the top
soil and seed. The mining will progress to the west, working
from the south side of the stock piles, leaving the road side
burms to be processed last. The mining operation will leave a
level area that would reflect the original ground surface. As
the stock piled rock sits on a gravel alluvial, there will be a
ditch and short burm on the perimeter of the permitted area to
divert any run off to a retention pit.
The material will be used to supply construction rip rap and
pit run to our clients. The land will remain rangeland as mining
progresses and once reclamation is complete the area will be
reseeded so it will have the same use as now exists. Initially,
the mine will be sloped so all surface water runoff can be
contained on the site until reclamation is complete. All storm
water on the site will be directed into the active mine area and
there will be no discharge or impounding of water.
Any topsoil will be placed around the mine setback or mine floor
for use in reclamation. Resoiling and shaping will run
concurrent with mining so that if mining ended prematurely there
should be little or no work needed for final clean up.
Of the 9.99 acres +/- in the permit area, approximately 9.1
acres has stock piled material on it, .8 acres will be used for
set back and road. The set backs are 10' wide and are shown on
the Mining Plan Map.
The screening operation will be placed as close to the stock
piles as possible, and will moved as the stock piles are be used
up. After the large rock is sorted out, the remainder will be
screened using a trac hoe, loader, and a screen. The RECLAMATION
MAP - E -2 shows how we think the area will look when mining is
complete and reclamation is done.
On site equipment may include, but not limited to, a motor
grader, front end loader, dozer, conveyors, and a screen plant,
dump trucks and water truck. Processing will be done on site to
build material stock piles that will be removed as needed.
23
