SPILL PREVENTION, CONTAINMENT, AND CONTROL PLAN <br />efattetr- <br />1. This Spill Prevention, containment and control plan describes planning, prevention <br />and control measures to minimize impacts resulting from spills of fuels, petroleum <br />products or other regulated substances as a result of mining. <br />2. Jubilee requires the implementation of proper planning and preventative measures to <br />minimize the likelihood of spills and to quickly and successfully clean up a spill should <br />one occur. This Spill plan sets forth the minimum standards for handling and storing <br />regulated substances and cleaning up spills. Potential sources of mining related spills <br />include machinery and equipment failure, fuel handling, transfer accidents and <br />storage tank Teaks. <br />A spill coordinator shall be designated by the mining superintendent. <br />The Spill Coordinator shall report all spills immediately. <br />The Spill Coordinator shall report spills to appropriate federal, state and local <br />agencies as soon as possible. <br />The Spill Coordinator shall mobilize on -site personnel, equipment and material <br />for the containment and or cleanup commensurate with the extent of the spill. <br />. The Spill Coordinator in consultation with appropriate agencies, shall determine <br />when it is necessary to evacuate spill sites to safeguard human health. <br />. The Spill Coordinator shall coordinate with appropriate agencies the need to <br />contact additional parties or agencies. <br />. The Spill Coordinator is responsible for completing a Spill Report Form within <br />24 -hours of occurrence of the spill, regardless of the size of the spill. <br />3. Only authorized personnel that are representatives of Jubilee Venture, LLC are <br />designated to handle fuel, lubricants or other regulated substances. These individuals <br />must be familiar with the requirements of the Spill Plan. <br />4. The mining superintendent or representative must notify the Jubilee representative <br />immediately of any spill of a petroleum product or hazardous liquid regardless of size. <br />5. Mining personnel shall notify the mine superintendent of any spill of a petroleum <br />product or hazardous liquid, regardless of the size of the spill. <br />6. A Jubilee Venture representative shall oversee the Spill Coordinator to ensure that <br />appropriate agency notifications are made, spill resources are allocated, and cleanup <br />is accomplished in accordance with applicable agency requirements. <br />7. Jubilee Venture shall train all individuals who handle fuels and other regulated <br />substances to prevent spills and to quickly and effectively contain and cleanup spills <br />that may occur in accordance with applicable regulations. <br />
