APPLICATION FOR UNDERGROUND WATER RIGHTS, CHANGE OF WATER RIGHTS, AND REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF PLAN FOR AUGMENTATION Page 7 of 12 i) Name of structure: Wadlow Pumping Plant ii) Date of original and relevant subsequent decrees: July 21, 1959 iii) Case No.: CA8303 iv) Legal description: The headgate for the Wadlow Pumping Plant is located in the SE /4 SE /4 of Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 99 West, in the 6 P.M. at a point 836 feet from the south section line and 4,535 feet from the west section line. A map depicting the location of the headgate is attached as Exhibit 1. Decreed source of water: Surface flows in the Gunnison River vi) Amount: 3.00 c.f.s. absolute vii) Appropriation date: January 1, 1940 viii) Decreed use or uses: Irrigation B. Amount of water to be changed: The Wadlow Pumping Plant has been used historically to irrigate 80 acres. Applicant will remove 77 of those acres from irrigation, resulting in historic consumptive use credits equal to 2.89 c.fs. A map depicting the historically irrigated acreage, as well as the acreage to be removed from irrigation is attached as Exhibit 2. A table attached as Exhibit 7 sets out the historic consumptive use associated with the Wadlow Pumping Plant. C. Detailed description of change: Historic consumptive use credits from the dry up of 77 acres under the Wadlow Pumping Plan equates to 2.89 c.f.s., or 73,56 a.f. annually. A table setting out the monthly historic consumptive use figures for the Wadlow Pumping Plant for the full 80 acres is attached as Exhibit 8. The average monthly historic consumptive use of the Wadlow Pumping Plant associated with the 77 acres to be removed from irrigation is as follows: i) Applicants request to change 2.89 c.f.s. (73.56 a.f. annually) under the Wadlow Pumping Plant from irrigation to augmentation to support the plan for augmentation requested in paragraph 6, below. The remaining three acres of historically irrigated land owned by co- applicant McCurter will continue to be irrigated.
