Might the material also be <br />used for embankment for the rail line and the roads? If so, please revise the list to include <br />these uses. <br />Section G -G' on Map 12 indicates that the borrow area will be excavated to a depth of <br />approximately 10 feet. Soils test TCU 4 (Exhibit 7) was done by auger to a depth of 36 <br />inches. No rock was found in the top three feet. Is rocky, pit run material expected to be <br />present between 3 and 10 feet? If so, is this a potential source for the pit run required for <br />road construction? <br />2.05.4 Reclamation Plan <br />The second paragraph of (1) on page 2.05 -29 states that the construction material stockpile <br />will not be restored... The use of "stockpile" seems to be erroneous please replace with the <br />words "borrow area" if appropriate. <br />2.06.6 Special Categories of Mining <br />Under 2.06.6 Prime Farmlands, please provide a reference to the letter from NRCS in Exhibit <br />8. <br />2.10 Maps and Plans <br />Text <br />• 2.10.3(1)(b) makes the statement that the land within the permit boundary is owned by the <br />Applicant. With the addition of the Construction Material Borrow Area on property owned <br />by Tavistock Partners, LLC, and the Haul Road #1 easement on Fruita Development, LLC, <br />this statement appears to be in error. Please revise this paragraph as appropriate. <br />Maps <br />Maps 10, 11 and 12 Pre- and Post - Mining Topography and Cross Sections <br />• Please add an additional cross section which passes through the Buried Coke Fines Area and <br />crosses the Access Road, Haul Road #2, Rail Loop, and the Truck Dump, following the <br />alignment of the 96" CMP tunnel. <br />• On Map 12 Sections E -E' and F -F', please revise the drawing to accurately portray the <br />proposed dimensions of Haul Road #1, the proposed BMPs, and the limits of the 30' <br />easement. <br />• Please provide the horizontal and vertical scales for Section G -G' on Map 12. <br />Map 13 Drainage Plan Ponds 1 & 2 <br />• Please label ponds 1 and 2 in the Plan view <br />• Please provide the contour interval for the plan view, and label the contour lines <br />
