Access Road
Debris rack
• Install a debris rack as designed for the culvert. The debris rack will be periodically
maintained to ensure the inlet is not obstructed;
Temporary Sediment Traps/Rock Check Dams
• Where necessary, check dams or debris basins will be constructed to minimize surface
water erosion to impacted areas (See Attached Guidance Documents for installation
guidelines) (Attachment A- Sheet C4.92-CLC Associates);
Road Base
• Final grading will include a suitable crushed rock road base (-1/2 inch) on the access
road placed over a crushed eight inch thick road base. (Attachment A- Sheet C2.00-CLC
Associates);
Berms/Guard Rails
• A berm/guard rails will be constructed on the outside of the road fill;
• The berm/guard rails will be at least 1.5 to 2 feet high;
• The berm/guard rails will be constructed in accordance with Mining Safety and Health
Administration (MSHA) guidelines;
• Guard rails will be constructed in accordance with Standard Engineering Practices from
Station 18.10 to 19+90.
Reclamation Specifications
Reclamation on cut and fills consisting of terrace deposits will be graded, revegetated
(including trees),(See Seed Mix/Planting program is presented in Attachment B);
As appropriate, cut slopes where slopes are steeper than 1(H):1 (V) on unconsolidated
materials will be reinforced (Attachment A- Sheet C4.91-CLC Associates).
Contingency
If the road slumps or partially fails, the failed area will be repaired by backfilling the
area with suitable material. If the materials impacts the wetland at the base of the fill,
Wildcat will mitigate the impacted area by creating wetland offsets similar to the
offsets currently required by the Army Corp of Engineers (Application number SPK-
2007-980-CD) where the offsets have been at establishing a 1 to 1 (Impact to
Mitigation) area.
Implement Monitoring Program
• Monument points will be established at 20+20, 20+40, 20+60 and 20+60.
(Attachment A- Sheet C3.10-CLC Associates. Following baseline readings, first
round of survey measurements will be obtained one week later and quarterly
thereafter while road is in use.
[Publish Date]
