Please demonstrate
how the access roads and drill pads will be reclaimed to a stable configuration. Please provide
maps with the reclamation plan illustrating the final configuration of the drill pads and their
associated access roads.
Response #25
See Response to Adequacy Issue No 9 Drill pads are temporary and will disturb a small
area within the designated 200 x 200 foot affected area Drill pads will be constructed to
form a small flat bench which will accommodate an access road coring rig, portable mud
and drill rod lay down area. Once drilling activities are completed, the drill pad will be
graded to conform to the existing topography, scarified, mulched and revegetated
Adequacy Issue #26
Regarding reclamation of the illegal access road, the amended application states, "...excavated
excess material will be used to blend the topography to approximate original contour (Exhibit
65)... " Please note the Division interprets "approximate original contour" literally, which
would include replacement of materials previously excavated during construction of the road,
refilling the road cut to the approximate original contour. Please clarify what is intended. Please
provide a map with the reclamation plan illustrating the final configuration of the reclaimed
access road corridor.
Response #26
Comment noted.
