As-built road construction drawings will be submitted to DRMS 30 days after <br />the affected areas related to construction are reclaimed <br />Question-#8 DRMS March 7th, 2011 Memo: File No M-198.1-185 <br />In the Existing Conditions Sta 0+00 to 5+00 section of the Access Road Repair & Maintenance <br />plan (Section 3), the Applicant states the access road surface consists of cobbles in a silty matrix <br />(colluviums). The Geotechnical Reconnaissance report prepared by R Squared classifies the <br />road surface soil as clayey sand. Please explain this discrepancy. <br />Response #8. Material discrepancy has been clarified in the supporting Geotechnical <br />Reconnaissance report; <br />Question-#9 DRMS March 7th, 2011 Memo: File No M-1981-185 <br />In the Approach section (Section 4) of the Access Road Repair & Maintenance plan, the <br />Applicant lists the following stabilization activities: <br />a. Flattening cutslopes and, in the process widening the narrow portions of the roadway; <br />b. Repairing or reconstructing retaining walls; and <br />c. Constructing erosion and sedimentation control structures. <br />The Applicant must provide the Division with a detailed work plan, as requested in the previous <br />Geotechnical review memos, for the proposed stabilization activities. <br />Response #9. - Detailed work plan is included in Attachment F CLC Road Design Third <br />Adequacy Response: <br />Question-#10 DAMS March 7th, 2011 Memo: File No M-1 981185 <br />In the Retaining Walls section (Section 4) of the Access Repair & Maintenance plan the <br />Applicant states, the roadway subgrade will be reestablished so that the roadway grades are not <br />steeper than 18 percent. The Sakura engineering report submitted in the application package <br />indicates roadway grades of 12 percent (Sheet 4 of 16).
