ameO
E) High Volume Solution Collection System
1) High Volume Solution Collection Piping
No placement performed during the week.
2) Drain Cover Fill (DCF)
No work performed during the week.
F) Leak Detection Trench
1) VLF
Excavation of the leak detection trench continued between stations H20+50 (+/-) and H24+50
(+/-), approximately 150 feet left of centerline. The excavated material was stockpiled to the
west of the excavation and will be used for slope contouring in the area. A portion of the leak
detection system was installed between stations H22+00 (+/-) to H24+50 (+/-) approximately
150 left of centerline. The I'xl' trench was excavated using a CAT 312 excavator. 40111il
HDPE geomembrane and 120Z/ft2 geotextile were placed in the trench. Three-inch CPe pipe
was then placed over the geotextile. Approved leak detection fill (LDF) was placed in the
trench using a CAT 950 front-end loader and laborers. The geotextile was wrapped and
overlapped, encapsulating the LDF and 3" CPe pipe. SLF material was then placed over the
trench. Leak detection trench construction was observed and inspected by an AMEC field
representative and found to be constructed in accordance with design drawing and project
specifications.
Two load of LDF were delivered from an olIsite location. The PSSA loading ramp was
maintained by Ames allowing access to the delivery site. A sample of the material was
obtained by AMEC to ensure it met project specifications. Passing test results were achieved
and the material was approved for placement.
II) Storm Water Management
A) Best Management Practices
Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the Phase 5 VLF Project.
III) Material Processing
A) Drain Cover Fill Process Area
No Drain Cover Fill (DCF) was processed during the week.
Location Thi
I
eek Cum
hve Comments
i
s ons
DCF Process 0 121,223
Total 0 121,223
IV)VLF Geosynthetics
A) Geomembrane Installation
1) VLF
No work performed during the week.
VLF Weekly Report WE 05.07.201 1
