2.04.8 CLIMATOLOGICAL INFORMATION <br />• No climatic data is available for the permit or adjacent <br />area. A National Weather Service Station does exist in the town <br />of Uravan, Colorado approximately 16 miles northwest of the <br />permit area. The period of record for temperature and precipita- <br />tion is 28 years through and including 1988. <br />During 1988 the Uravan Station recorded an annual precipita- <br />tion total of 10.2 inches which compares with an average of 12.79 <br />inches. The maximum and minimum precipitation for a one year <br />period is 21.96 and 7.85 inches which occurred during 1965 and <br />1974 respectively. The following table presents the 1988 monthly <br />temperature and precipitation data and the averages for the <br />period of record.
