the existing Or~ird Valley RAM coal stockpile haul road's use has not
been restricted due to placP~nent of material. the embanlOnent is adequate
to support the projected volume of traffic and weight aryl speed of
vehicles currently used (refer to Supplemental Geotechnical F7gineering
Study, It7w (Made Coal Haul Road, L3mbe1-t and Associates, Volume 6). No
records of compaction are available for the haul road. the bearing
surface of the road was found to be inadequate to support the projected
volume of traffic and weight and speed of vehicles used. A certified
construction design to upgrade the bearing the bearing surface was
developed calling for specific cortq~action specifications to be met in
accordance with this section. Records of compaction will be kept and made
available for Division inspection.
Per the Division's request, in the event a subgrade failure occurs, COVCC
will repair the subgrade in accordance with this part and have the repairs
certified by a professional engineer.

tests are available on the existing Orchard Valley Mine haul road.
Material for the Orchard Valley West Mine haul road will be placed only
where its moisture content is within acceptable levels to achieve required

tests are available on the existing Orchard Valley R-0~-M coal stockpile
haul road.

lyre Orchard Valley Mine haul road is an existing structure. If any
further disturbance for the construction of this haul road is required,
temporary erosion control measures will be implemented. Upon coaq~letion,
measures will be taken to stabilize all embanlanP.nts with vegetation cover
as described i.n Sec-tion 2.05.4 Reclamation Plan -General Requirements.
• All existing etnbanlanP~ts at the Orchard Valley Mine were reclaimed
immediately following construction.
