4.03 ROADB <br />4.03.1 Raul Roads. (cbnt'd.) <br />• was reasonably free of organic material, coal or coal blossom, frozen <br />material, wet or peat material, or any other material considered <br />unsuitable for etlbaiilatlent construction. No excess material red siring <br />disposal was generated from haul road construction. <br />The enbanlanent material for the Orchard Valley West Mine haul road will be <br />reasonably free of organic material, opal or coal blossom, frozen <br />material, wet or peat material, or any other material considered <br />unsuitable for embankment construction. FJccess material will be used in <br />the portal level fill. <br />It is believed material for the Orchard Valley R-O-M coal stockpile haul <br />road emban]Onent was reasonably free of organic material, coal or opal <br />blossom, frozen material, wet or peat material, or any other material <br />considered unsuitable for embankment construction. No excess material <br />requiring disposal was generated from haul road construction. <br />(3) (d) (iv) <br />It is believed no acid-producing material was used in the instruction of <br />the Orchard Valley Mine haul road emban}anents. The fills were oonstruct~d <br />using cut material from the native colluvi~un. <br />The fills constructed for the Orchard Valley West Mine haul road will not <br />use any acid-producing material. <br />• It is believed no acid-producing material was used in the wnstruction of <br />the Orchard Valley R--0-t4 coal stockpile haul road embarilanent. The fill <br />was constructed using cut material from the native colluvium. <br />(3) (d) (v) <br />The orchard Valley Mine haul road embankment material comes from cut <br />colluvium. Actual layer thiGrnesses before cortg~action are unknown. Use <br />of the road since 1976 demonstrates the stability and reliability of the <br />road embanlanents as constructed. <br />The Orchard Valley West Mine haul road will be constructed as described in <br />Volume 6. Material containing less than 25% rock larger than 6 inches <br />shall be spread in layers not exceeding 12 inches in thic7mess before <br />compaction. <br />The orchard Valley R-0-M coal stockpile haul road embankment material <br />comes from cut colluvium. Actual layer thiclmesses before cort~action are <br />unknown.
