44.03 ROADS
4,03.3 Light-Use Roads.
(2) (b) No part of any light-use road is located in a channel
of an ephemeral, intermittent, or perennial stream.
(c) The Ea s[ Road fords Coal Gulch at the approximate loca-
tion of the old Farmer's Mine. This ford is a pre-ex-
isting structure, and does not adversely affect stream
sedimentation or fish, wildlife, and related environ-
mental values.
The Wes[ Road fords East Roa[cap Creek. It also is a
pre-existing structure, and does not adversely affect
stream sedimentation or fish, wildlife, and related en-
vironmental values.
CWI does not anticipate construction of additional
light-use roads with fords. If required, C4!I would
utilize fords only after approval by the nivision.
(d) The light-use roads are located [o minimize downstream
sedimentation and flooding.
• (e) C4!I anticipates no additional construction of light-use
roads in [he same alignment as haul or access roads.
(f) CWI anticipates that, based on the revegetation success
at Orchard Valley ?!ine, all light-use roads can be rom-
pletely reclaimed.
(g) GWI would clearly mark the road in the field so the
Division could inspect, prior to construction.
(3) (a) If new construction of light-use roads were required,
the requirements of 4.03.3(3) would he followed.
(i) Tne existing roads overall grades do not er.-
ceed 10%. The overall grade of the 011`! shaft
road will be approximately 9.53 percent.
(ii) Some stretches of 20% grade have been con-
structed, but are kept at a minimum. Tne max-
imum pitch of the 0~4dM shaft read will be 20
percent.
Revised O810118µ
Revised 10/01/87
• Revised 03/28/88
^_5
