3. The Location Map did not list the names of immediately adjacent land owners as <br />required by Rule 6.3.1(3). Please revise the Location Map to include this <br />information. <br />A revised site map showing adjacent landowners is attached. <br />4. The latitude and longitude coordinates provided for the primary mine entrance <br />in the Permit Application do not match the latitude and longitude coordinates listed <br />on the Location Map(s). Please clarify which coordinates apply to the primary mine <br />entrance. <br />The coordinates shown in the actual application should be the correct coordinates for the <br />entrance to the pit. I have removed the coordinates off those maps which bring the <br />confusion. Newly revised maps are attached. <br />6.3.2 Exhibit B - Site Description <br />5. The Applicant has stated the vegetation at the site consists of native grasses. <br />Please specify the principal species of native grasses present at the site. <br />The vegetation currently at the site is Prairie Sandreed, Sand Bluestem, Blue Grama, <br />Switchgrass, and Sagebrush. <br />6. The Applicant has stated the water table is approximately 20-25 feet deep. Please <br />inform the Division how the depth of the water table was determined. <br />Lanny Payne, current owner of the 7Y Ranch property, provided information of the depth <br />of the water table. His family has held the land for several generations and he is very <br />familiar with the water table. <br />6.3.3 Exhibit C - Mining Plan <br />7. The Mining Plan states no slopes will be left greater than 3H:1V. Will the pit <br />walls be mined at 3H:1V or reclaimed to 3H:1V? If the pit walls will be reclaimed <br />to 3H: 1V, then specify the grade of pit walls during mining. <br />The Washington County Road Foreman, Don Riemenschnieder, indicates the pit will be <br />mined at 3H. •I V. <br />8. The Mining Plan states there is an old area of disturbance at the southeast corner <br />of the site; the Location Map denotes a gravel pit in this location. Please describe <br />2
