In addition to the boundary markers a wire fence will be constructed <br />along the North, West, and Southern boundaries. The boundary markers delineate the <br />boundary line between the current mining operation and the existing inactive pit area and <br />Riverside Aggregates LLC will not disturb the existing pit area. Please note that this <br />information has been added to the Mining Plan - revised 2/15/2011. <br />6.3.4 EXHIBIT D - Reclamation Plan <br />Item 10) Please describe how the seed bed will be prepared for seeding. Will the site be tilled <br />to decompact the soil? <br />Response: The seed bed will be prepared for seed by tilling the soil, blending with a mix of <br />topsoil and manure, re-compacting the seed bed, and planting. Please note that this <br />information has been added to the Reclamation Plan - revised 2/15/2011. <br />Item 11) Please provide an estimate for the amount of manure to be applied to the site in tons <br />per acre. <br />Response: Manure will be applied to the site at a rate of 25 tons per acre. Please note that <br />this information has been added to the Reclamation Plan - revised 2/15/2011. <br />Item 12) Please provide a basis for the estimated volume to be used to backfill the pit slopes <br />to a 4:1 horizontal to vertical ratio. What will be the maximum length and slope angle of the <br />high wall at any given time during the operation? <br />Response: The total estimated volume used to backfill the pit for reclamation is based on a <br />proposed slope equal to 4:1 beginning at the north boundary line of the mining area and <br />sloping (extending) to the southern boundary of the mining area. It is estimated that the <br />maximum slope angle of the high wall will be 1:1 and extend 40' to 50' at any given time <br />during mining operations.
