• now provided using a conformable surface below the Trout Creek
sandstone.
o TS recommends that it undertakes a re- evaluation of the data density /
continuity of the thickness and quality data at Collom using statistical means
to understand the variability and confidence levels (risk) in the resource.
o Status: In Progress. Mr. John Forkes of TS (Bristol) is currently
performing a geostatistical review of the thickness and quality data.
o It is essential that resource model archives include all relevant information
that supports the resource estimate. Details of the drill hole composites used
for the model should be listed. When archiving information from future
resource model updates, it is essential that all relevant information that
supports the resource estimate is included.
o Status: Complete. The method used to composite coal quality for
modelling is outlined in the "Geological Modelling Protocol" in
Appendix 3 of this memorandum. This protocol has also been included
with other Collom exploration protocols.
o When exporting model data for archive purposes it is essential that all
• variables, for models are included. For each of the models exported the X, Y,
Z co- ordinates must be included for each drill hole used.
o Status: Complete. The geological model is archived periodically when a
significant body of work has been completed. For example, the
geological model used for the 2004 Year End Resource and Reserve
Report has been archived with all of the modelling parameters used for
resource estimates. Additionally, the drill hole locations, lithology and
coal quality data were included in the report appendices as well as CD-
ROM disks included in the report.
• Coal Quality Model
o Moisture. Plot moisture contents by seam.
o Status: In Progress. Detailed review of the 2004 quality data is being
performed in conjunction with ASG reviews.
o Reduce moisture inconsistencies by better preventing `loss of moisture' by
using the cold room in the Lower Administration Building to store core prior to
shipment to laboratory
o Status: Under Review. The walk -in freezer in the Lower Administration
building is currently unoperational. The safety and practicality of using
this freezer are under review. Additionally, the samples run the risk of
•
