Class III Inventory, Co /owyo's Collont Mine Project 349 <br />• base of a broad northeast - trending ridge (Figure 6.214). Elevation at the site is 7,040 ft (2,146 m). <br />Soils were characterized w alluvial and colluvial dark brown loamy sand of unknown depth. <br />Vegetation consisted predominatly of grasses with scattered sagebrush and chokecherry. Scattered <br />low stands of Gambel oak occured along the drainage bottom and lower slopes of the ridge. <br />• <br />Extant features consisted of a sandstone foundation and chimney, a collapsed outhouse, and two <br />dugout/depressions. The sandstone foundation was fire- reddened, indicating that the building <br />experienced some sort of fire. A small mount of debris was associated with the site, which included <br />mattress springs, pieces of a stove, and milled lumber. A more detailed description of the features <br />is provided in the 1995 form. <br />The current inventory found the site to be similar to that described above, with further deterioration <br />to the overall site (Figure 6.215).
